Political Republican Opinion:
The Political Republican Opinion blog has found a couple of interesting articles on the web that political Republicans should find quite interesting. The first article shows how John McCain is continuing to grow campaign financing for the Republican coffers. The second, points out the many lies being told by Liberal bloggers in their panicked efforts to degrade John McCain’s Vice Presidential running mate, Sarah Palin.
John McCain Gets $5 Million from Barack Obama’s Hometown:
Unlike Barack Obama, who went back on his promise to use federal financing for his campaign, John McCain is not allowed to accept “outside money” for his political campaign. That didn’t keep McCain from attending a fundraising campaign for the RNC in Barack Obama’s hometown of Chicago, however.
Presidential hopeful John McCain raised a whopping $5 million during the five hour visit. Although federal election rules prevent McCain from using the donations directly, the RNC will surely be using the money raised to run ads in battleground states on behalf of McCain.

The Lies About Sarah Palin that the Liberal Left Tells:
The Liberal blogs are filled with derogatory claims regarding John McCain’s Vice Presidential running mate, Sarah Palin. In a frantic effort to derail the popularity of Governor Palin, they will stop at nothing. Among the lies being told by the panicked Left are:
- Sarah Palin cut funding for children with special needs by 62%. In actuality, Governor Palin tripled per student funding over the past three years for children with special needs.
- Sarah Palin demanded that certain books be banned from the Wasilla public library. The librarian herself states that all Sarah Palin did was ask a “what if?” question.
- Sarah Palin is a member of the Alaskan Independence Party – a group wishing to secede from the United States. The statement made in a video being circulated around the internet was a lie told by a member of the Party in an effort to boost the Alaska Independence Party’s credibility. Sarah Palin has been a member of the Republican Party since May of 1982 and has never been a member of the radical secession Party.
- Sarah Palin endorsed Pat Buchanan; another lie told by panicked Liberals. She did wear a Buchanan button once out of courtesy when he visited Wasilla but actively campaigned for Steve Forbes as the co-chair of Forbes’ campaign.
- Palin pushed for teaching Creationism in Alaska’s public schools. This Liberal lie twists Sarah Palin’s words, where Governor Palin has stated that Creationism “doesn’t have to be part of the curriculum.” She does not feel that students should be punished for expressing their religious beliefs, however, stating that they should be able to openly “debate both sides” of the evolution question.
