    Political Republican Opinion:

Political Republican Opinion - Obama Marxist In an interview earlier this week, US House of Representatives member, Paul Broun, called President-elect Barack Obama a Marxist and likened him to Adolf Hitler. His words could not have been clearer:

“It may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he’s the one who proposed this national security force,” Broun told the AP in the Monday interview. “I’m just trying to bring attention to the fact that we may - may not, I hope not - but we may have a problem with that type of philosophy of radical socialism or Marxism.”

Broun’s comments were in reference to a July speech by Barack Obama in which the President-elect called for “a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded” as the US military.

Broun told the AP, “That’s exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it’s exactly what the Soviet Union did. When he’s proposing to have a national security force that’s answering to him that is as strong as the US military, he’s showing me signs of being a Marxist.

“We can’t be lulled into complacency,” Broun continued, “You have to remember that Adolf Hitler was elected in a democratic Germany. I’m not comparing him to Adolf Hitler. What I’m saying is there is the potential.”

Now, after a sea of protests in regards to the comments, the Georgia representative is backpedaling:

“I regret putting it that way,” Broun told WGAC radio in Augusta, GA. “I apologize to anyone who has taken offense at that.”

Broun added, “The point I tried to make is that he is extremely liberal, he has promoted a lot of socialistic ideas, and it just makes me concerned.”

Don’t you just love it when someone insults another person and then pretends he didn’t mean the insult by saying that he didn’t intend to offend anyone? Isn’t it pitiful when a Congressman slinks away with his tail between his legs?

You said it, Mr Broun, now be a man and stand behind your words. There are surely invertebrates with more backbone than you. If I lived in Georgia, I wouldn’t re-elect you solely on your lack of mettle!

The Obama transition office, however, didn’t seem at all offended by the Congressman. In fact, they had no comments at all in regards to the Congressman’s allegations.

It seems eerily like the shrug given when “Joe the Plumber” challenged Barack Obama for his notion of “spreading the wealth around.” Their indifference to Broun’s words is highly disturbing to say the least!

Political Republican Opinion Quote of the Day: “The real menace of our republic is this invisible government which, like a giant octopus, sprawls its slimy length over City, State, and Nation… It seizes in its long and powerful tentacles our executive officers, our legislative bodies, our schools, our courts, our newspapers, and every agency created for the public protection.”– John F. Hylan (Mayor of New York City, 1918-1925)

    Political Republican Opinion:

Political Republican Opinion - Obama versus After Joe Wurzelbacher had the audacity to ask Barack Obama a meaningful, tough question, the media world is in a frenzy trying to discover who “Joe the Plumber” really is. All depending on where you get your news, you’ll hear different answers.

The one and only non-Liberal television Network, Fox News, and the various Conservative talk shows will tell you that “Joe the Plumber” is just a guy trying to fulfill the American Dream who wants to own a business but is fearful of the higher taxes that he may have to pay under Barack Obama’s tax plan.

The rest of the television networks are part of the mainstream Liberal media and will tell you an entirely different story. They will tell you that Joe is not a plumber at all because he doesn’t have a plumber’s license, he is a “McCain plant,” he isn’t a registered voter and that his name isn’t even “Joe.”

So who is right? The Political Republican Opinion Blog submits that both are right and both are wrong.

Joe Wurzelbacher is one of two employees at Newell Plumbing & Heating, a company in Holland, Ohio. He is a former member of the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Alaska from 1992 until 1995 before being honorably discharged.

Although the state of Ohio does not require a plumber to have a license, the city of Toledo requires owners of plumbing companies to be licensed. Since Joe only wants to own the company that he works for and is not currently the owner, he is not in violation of any state or municipal laws.

It is highly unlikely that Wurzelbacher is a “McCain plant,” since he lives on the street that Obama randomly chose to stroll down to “meet the people.” He had been playing football with his son in his yard when Barack Obama came down the street. For one to believe this ludicrous theory, they would have to believe that McCain knew in advance that Obama would be strolling down this particular road or that the Republican presidential hopeful has a “plant” on every street in every city in America on the off-chance that Obama might decide to get out and mix with the regular folks at any given time.

As for the claim that “Joe the Plumber” is not a registered voter in the state of Ohio, this claim is just plain false. Linda Howe, executive director of the Lucas County Board of Elections, said a Samuel Joseph Worzelbacher, whose address and age match “Joe the Plumber’s,” registered in Lucas County on Sept. 10, 1992. He voted in his first primary on March 4 of this year, registering as a Republican. Ms. Howe said that the name may be misspelled in the database.

Ms. Howe does, however, lend credence to the assertion that Mr. Wurzelbacher’s name isn’t “Joe.” How dare he decide to go by his middle name instead of his first name! We know Barack Obama would never contemplate such a thing.

While it is true that the Conservative radio shows and Fox News are closer to the true depiction of “Joe the Plumber” than the Left-leaning TV stations, they still don’t have it quite right.

“Joe the Plumber” is not just a person, he is a concept. “Joe” is the definition of what has made America the land of opportunity for generations, he is opportunity, he is Capitalism and; sorry Barack, Joe is hope!

When Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher had the audacity to question Barack Obama’s taxation plan, the Democratic presidential hopeful said that his plan would improve the economy for other people trying to get a start in small business and “spread the wealth.” “Joe the Plumber” has commented that he was surprised by the “spread the wealth” phrase.

“That’s a pretty socialist comment. Two-fifty [$250,000] is his number now. When is it going to be one [hundred and] fifty [thousand]; when’s it going to be one hundred [thousand]?” If you believe him,” he continued, “I would be receiving his tax cut,” adding that he would not want the tax cut.

You’re getting close, Joe, but not quite right. Socialism is, in an economic sense, a system advocating state ownership of industry and capital. What we are talking about here is wealth redistribution, not the production and distribution of goods and services by the government. Although, if one were to consider comments made by some Democratic leaders in reference to the oil industry, it is not too far a stretch to see the day coming under an Obama presidency with a Democratic majority in the Legislative branch and a far more Liberal Supreme Court, when the state would own and control all industry.

Instead, The Political Republican Opinion Blog submits that the definition of Marxism is a little closer to Obama’s stated plan. Marxism calls for a classless society, where all means of production are commonly owned, a system to be reached as an inevitable result of the struggle between capitalists and workers.

I’ve heard some Liberals claim that Obama is like Robin Hood, who robbed from the rich and gave to the poor. They could not be more wrong. Robin Hood robbed from the government and gave back to the people. If anybody in this presidential race is Robin Hood, it is John McCain, not Barack Obama!

The controversy surrounding Joe Wurzelbacher really has nothing to do with Joe, himself. It has more to do with political and economic ideologies. When Americans head to the polls on November 4th, they won’t necessarily be casting their votes for John McCain or Barack Obama. Instead, they will be casting their votes for “Joe the Plumber” or Karl Marx, for Capitalism and freedom or for Marxism and a de-incentivized populace.
