Romney Wisconson Victory Speech – Capitalism vs. Socialism | Romney vs. Obama

Romney Wisconson Victory Speech – Capitalism vs. Socialism | Romney vs. Obama

For a change, I really don’t have much to write here. Yesterday, Mitt Romney continued his march of inevitability toward the G.O.P. presidential nomination with decisive victories in Wisconsin, Maryland and the District of Columbia. The victory speech he gave in Wisconsin afterwards could not lay out the difference between a country led by Mitt Romney and the one we are currently experiencing under the failed leadership of Barack Obama. It’s as simple as deciding between a system that created the wealthiest, most powerful country on the planet or a system that has taken down every country that has ever tried it. It’s a choice between free will or government control. It’s a choice between the American Dream or the Marxist Morass. It’s a choice between leading the world or blending in with mediocrity. It’s a choice between hard work and rewards or hope and change. It’s a choice...

Santorum, Gingrich, Palin – Yours Is No Disgrace

Santorum, Gingrich, Palin – Yours Is No Disgrace

I’m tired of seeing it. It’s one thing if a candidate runs an attack ad filled with facts that cast one of their political rivals in a bad light. It’s another thing, though, when the attack is worded in such a way to make a good thing sound like something that is bad. “The Bridge to Nowhere.” It is a phrase that was used effectively by the Obama campaign against Sarah Palin and now, Mitt Romney … (ahem) … I mean the “Romney Super P.A.C.” has been blanketing the nation with an ad that condemns Rick Santorum for voting for the same “bridge to nowhere” that Palin backed. What is a bridge to nowhere, really? Before almost any bridge is ever built, the place that it leads to is pretty isolated in most cases. There are scores of very popular Keys off the west coast of Florida that would all...

Obama’s Backwards Bible

Obama’s Backwards Bible

While the mainstream liberal media continues to ridicule Rick Santorum for being a man of faith, they give a pass to Barack Obama. Not only did they brush aside Obama’s decades of worship in the church of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, but they let him freely quote from the bible and think nothing of it. During a campaign stump speech taxpayer-funded “official presidential visit” at the National Prayer Breakfast earlier this month, Barack Obama, trying to both prove what a devout Christian he is and justify taxing the wealthy, quoted from the Book of Luke, saying it “coincides with Jesus’ teaching that for unto whom much is given, much shall be required.” It seems like Barack Obama has it backwards. Although there are a relatively small number of “rich people” who inherited their money, the vast majority of the truly wealthy have sacrificed their time, their energy and, in many...

New Romney Attack Ad Filled With More Half Truths

New Romney Attack Ad Filled With More Half Truths

It was only a matter of time. With Rick Santorum surging and, in fact, now leading Mitt Romney in the polls for the Michigan primary, the Romney attack machine has just leveled its first volley at the former Pennsylvania senator. As was the case in the Florida attack ads that stopped Newt Gingrich in his tracks, the ads are filled with half truths that are at best, deceitful and, at worst, outright slander. Amongst other things, the Romney Super Pac ad attacks Rick Santorum for supporting the Alaska “Bridge to Nowhere.” The Bridge to Nowhere was part of more than 6,000 pet project add-ons in the 2005 Transportation Bill. Many positive things were in the bill that had federal highway construction, repair and maintenance as its main focus in addition to new highway safety programs. It should come as no shock to anyone that there are often many pork...

The Question Barack Obama Has Never Answered …

The Question Barack Obama Has Never Answered …

During the Democratic Primary in 2008, Charles Gibson asked Barack Obama the only difficult question I think he was asked that whole year. The Democratic presidential hopeful did not have an answer then, he did not have an answer for it during the subsequent presidential debate with John McCain and he still does not have an answer. The question dealt with capitol gains taxes and how he could justify raising them. Not only did Charles Gibson point out that, historically, every time capital gains taxes have been raised, tax revenues to the federal government have decreased and that, conversely, every time they have been lowered, government tax revenues have increased, Mr. Gibson also pointed out that raising capital gains taxes would severely harm 100 million people in this country who own stocks or who have 401K’s that they depend on for their retirement income. Obama hemmed and hawed, stuttered...

Obama Set to Abolish Communion and Free Speech?

Obama Set to Abolish Communion and Free Speech?

The latest uproar in the political spectrum is the one involving contraception and whether businesses supported or run by the Catholic church can be compelled to provide something that is clearly against their religious doctrines. The Right is framing this as a violation of the First Amendment of the Constitution. The Left argues that a woman is entitled to free contraception. So, lets break this thing down piece by piece, to see if we can come up with a rational conclusion as to who is really right here. I’ll start right off by stating that I a not a Catholic. Although raised as a Presbyterian, I really have no particular religious affiliation at all, in fact. Whether or not I think the Catholic church is right or wrong about birth control being a sin is beside the point. I’m not a Catholic so I have no more right to...

Romney Lies – Newt Gingrich DID NOT Resign In Disgrace

Romney Lies – Newt Gingrich DID NOT Resign In Disgrace

Thinking that I, perhaps, had a poor recollection of history regarding the Gingrich reign as Speaker of the House, I started trolling around the web, digging up stories that hit the presses on the day that Newt Gingrich resigned back in November 7, 1998. Hardly the “resigned in disgrace” label that Mitt Romney is bludgeoning Gingrich with in a non-stop barrage of ads in Florida, the stories from the newspapers – many of which are regarded by most to be very Left leaning – tell an entirely different story. According to The Washington Post, several House members stated that Gingrich had confided in them earlier in the year that he intended to resign in December (he ended up resigning a month early because of the turmoil and division in the party that occurred after they lost 5 seats in the November 1998 election, although they still retained a 223...

Political Republican Opinion – We’re Back!

Political Republican Opinion – We’re Back!

After many, many requests, we have decided to revive the old Political Republican Opinion blog. It was taken down in early 2009 out of respect for the office of the President. It became increasingly more difficult to bite our tongues after we saw the disastrous policies the all-Democrat House and Senate were implementing under the guidance of Barack Obama. Instead of bashing the President any further, we decided to simply take the website down. Now that Barack Obama is really little more than a candidate (some may argue he has done little more than campaign during his entire three plus years as President), we feel it is our duty to listen to the voices of our fans and bring to light the crucial facts surrounding both the GOP and general election in days to come. Barack Obama has walked away from congress, stating that he can’t work with them...

To Everything – Spend, Spend, Spend

To Everything – Spend, Spend, Spend

Thomas L. Friedman, a New York Times columnist, appeared on Meet The Press Sunday morning and advocated a one dollar per gallon tax on gasoline to help pay for the war in Afghanistan. David Gregory, the show’s host, didn’t even blink an eye. There is nothing at all shocking about Friedman’s proposal. He is a New York Times Columnist, after all, which only goes hand in hand with being a Liberal. And, his new book, Hot, Flat and Crowded, makes the wild and completely illogical leap that the country’s current financial crisis is due to not spending fortunes to prevent the unpreventable … global warming. Only a true Liberal can come up with the idea that we are in debt because we didn’t spend enough! The Left has always been about increasing taxes. Since taking over the entire legislative body and the presidency less than a year ago, the...

Isolate Obama – Take Back America 2010

Political Republican Opinion Guest Writer: Ron Spangler This article was submitted to the Political Republican Opinion by the author and is an edited, republished version of the original from Ron Spangler’s political blog, State of America. It seems there is only one commentator on the cable networks that is coming close to admitting the true desires of President Obama. Glenn Beck has done a lot to bring light onto this shadow government but he hasn’t yet come around to admitting that Obama wants to follow in the footsteps of Mao Tse-tung. He has shown all of the the close associations with members of the Czar government to Mao but he has not linked Obama to any direct quotes or statements of Obama supporting Mao. This in no way means Obama doesn’t believe in the teachings of one of the greatest mass murderers of the twentieth century. Americans are experiencing buyers’ remorse as we watch...
