Santorum, Gingrich, Palin – Yours Is No Disgrace

Santorum, Gingrich, Palin – Yours Is No Disgrace

I’m tired of seeing it. It’s one thing if a candidate runs an attack ad filled with facts that cast one of their political rivals in a bad light. It’s another thing, though, when the attack is worded in such a way to make a good thing sound like something that is bad. “The Bridge to Nowhere.” It is a phrase that was used effectively by the Obama campaign against Sarah Palin and now, Mitt Romney … (ahem) … I mean the “Romney Super P.A.C.” has been blanketing the nation with an ad that condemns Rick Santorum for voting for the same “bridge to nowhere” that Palin backed. What is a bridge to nowhere, really? Before almost any bridge is ever built, the place that it leads to is pretty isolated in most cases. There are scores of very popular Keys off the west coast of Florida that would all...

Joe Goes Into Hiding …

Joe Goes Into Hiding …

The problem with making a statement that questions the worthiness or policies of a presidential candidate that the mainstream liberal media seems to think is the second coming of the messiah is, it creates quite a backlash. The media starts digging and asking questions. The American public starts to ask questions, too, that the Obama campaign doesn’t want asked. When innocent questions and statements cause this kind of a backlash, it’s no wonder that it would cause someone to go into hiding? So where is Joe? No, not Joe the plumber; he’s a stand-up kind of guy who has withstood the smarmiest of media attacks and Obama campaign ploys that have been aimed at discrediting him. I’m talking about Joe Biden! Ever since making the mistake of speaking his true feelings – that electing Barack Obama would lead to an immediate worldwide crisis and that we would not like...

Gender Inequity In The Obama Office

Gender Inequity In The Obama Office

Barack Obama’s latest manipulative ploy involves characterizing John McCain and even Sarah Palin as being against equal pay for women. He claims he is the stronger candidate when it comes to making sure that women and men get paid the same amount for the same work. On August 31, in Toledo, Ohio, Barack Obama said of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s Republican vice-presidential nomination, “ seems like a very engaging person, but I’ve got to say, she’s opposed – like John McCain is – to equal pay for equal work. That doesn’t make much sense to me.” Wow, quite a damning statement. Because he says so (and the media wouldn’t dare challenge him), Barack Obama clearly is a stronger supporter of women’s equal pay rights than John McCain is, right? Well … not so fast! Once again, we need to look at the two candidates’ deeds versus their words. There...

McCain-Palin Finally To Get Tough On Obama

McCain-Palin Finally To Get Tough On Obama

With less than a month left before the November 2, 2008 election, it appears that the McCain campaign will finally be taking the gloves off. John McCain has said that he does not believe in negative campaign ads, but, with Obama now leading by seven to eight points in recent polls and the constant lies being told by the Obama campaign in their attack ads on John McCain, it would appear a change of course has been ordered. Sarah Palin took the first shots today, accusing Barack Obama of associating with terrorists. While at a private airport, the Associated Press reports that Sarah Palin said, “Our opponent … is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he’s palling around with terrorists who would target their own country. She added, “This is not a man who sees America as you see America and as...

The Two Faces of Charlie Gibson – Comparing Interviews With Sarah Palin And Barack Obama

The Two Faces of Charlie Gibson – Comparing Interviews With Sarah Palin And Barack Obama

As promised, The Political Republican Opinion blog is posting a side-by-side comparison of Charlie Gibson’s first interview with Sarah Palin and his first interview with Barack Obama. Obama’s initial interview was on November 1, 2007. Part one of Palin’s interview was on September 11, 2008. I originally intended to post parts one through four of the Gibson-Palin interview and compare them with the Gibson-Obama interview but I only needed part one to make my point. Below, you will see the questions Charlie Gibson asked Sarah Palin in red and the questions Gibson asked Barack Obama in blue. The questions appear in the order in which they were asked: “Governor, let me start by asking you a question that I asked John McCain about you, and it is really the central question. Can you look the country in the eye and say “I have the experience and I have the...

Desperate Times For Democrats – The Huffington Post Lies Again!

Desperate Times For Democrats – The Huffington Post Lies Again!

It must be so easy to write a Liberal blog. Authors of these exercises in idiocy know that their audience is not industrious (a kind word) enough to check facts. Readers of the Leftist blogs follow blindly along, believing everything that is written. I tripped over a post today that purported to have proof that Sarah Palin endorsed a budgetary cut in rape test kits while she was Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. It used The Huffington Post as it’s “source” of information. Because the blog is obviously written by a lazy fool, I feel it would be beneath The Political Republican Opinion blog to provide a link and, therefore, any credibility to the post. I will, however, provide a link to the ridiculous Huffington Post article. In it, the author, Jacob Alperin-Sheriff, does a cut and paste job with Sarah Palin’s signature and makes libelous claims that her signature...

Charlie Gibson Throws Away his Integrity in Sarah Palin Interview

Charlie Gibson Throws Away his Integrity in Sarah Palin Interview

Now, even Charlie Gibson has joined the ranks of those in the mainstream liberal media that have thrown away their integrity to support Barack Obama. Part one of his interview with Sarah Palin could not have been more biased. Gibson tossed aside his journalistic credentials at the outset of the interview when, in response to Governor Palin’s comment that she felt she was ready to take on the responsibilities of the Vice Presidential position, the ABC anchor raised his eyebrows, looked down his nose at her and said “didn’t that take some hubris?” For those unfamiliar with the word, “hubris” is another word for “arrogance.” If that’s not the pot calling the kettle black, then I don’t know what is (and please, save your breath Liberals; the pot did not just make a racist remark). The media in America has become an absolute joke. There is no such thing...

Are Democrats Intentionally Throwing the Election?

Are Democrats Intentionally Throwing the Election?

I sometimes think that the Democratic Party intentionally throws elections. It is far too easy to sit back and be an armchair quarterback than to actually put yourself on the line and have to be accountable. If there’s one thing that Republicans know about Liberals, it’s that they love to complain. They complain about their leaders, they complain about the police, they complain about the judicial system, they complain about the military, they complain about their jobs, they complain about people with better jobs, they complain about their country, they complain, they complain, they complain. When pressed about what they would do to fix things, they have no answer. All they know is somebody has got to CHANGE things. Then, they select unelectable people to run as their Presidential candidates so that when they lose, they can complain about the system and the Republican President. The Democratic Party cannot...

Obama Sends Goons After Sarah Palin

Obama Sends Goons After Sarah Palin

Attacks on her family didn’t work. Lies about her policies haven’t accomplished anything. Now, according to the Wall Street Journal, the Democratic Party has recently dropped a team of 30 lawyers and private investigators into Anchorage, Alaska in an attempt to dig up dirt on Sarah Palin. Panicked by recent polls that show that John McCain is now leading Barack Obama in his bid to become President of the United States, the Democratic Party apparently will stop at nothing to discredit John McCain’s Vice Presidential running mate. This recent development shows that Barack Obama is anything but opposed to “politics of old” and that he will use the smarmiest of tactics to win the Presidential election. The Political Republican Opinion blog can only ask, “Where’s the CHANGE, Barack?” This recent tactic will only further drive a wedge in between his campaign and women voters. Talk about “divisive!” See the...

Obama’s Hometown Donates $5 Million to McCain – The Lies About Sarah Palin

John McCain Gets $5 Million from Barack Obama’s Hometown: Unlike Barack Obama, who went back on his promise to use federal financing for his campaign, John McCain is not allowed to accept “outside money” for his political campaign. That didn’t keep McCain from attending a fundraising campaign for the RNC in Barack Obama’s hometown of Chicago, however. Presidential hopeful John McCain raised a whopping $5 million during the five hour visit. Although federal election rules prevent McCain from using the donations directly, the RNC will surely be using the money raised to run ads in battleground states on behalf of McCain. Check out the full story at: http://cbs2chicago.com/politics/mccain.chicago.fundraiser.2.812952.html The Lies About Sarah Palin that the Liberal Left Tells: The Liberal blogs are filled with derogatory claims regarding John McCain’s Vice Presidential running mate, Sarah Palin. In a frantic effort to derail the popularity of Governor Palin, they will stop...
